    You show you do not understand this recipe adding milk in the cooking process. No protein in a half a cup of milk. I cook large batches of this and it never needs flavor. If i want protein will add ham chunks or lean bacon but rarely. Balsamic is great for acidity, but not milk in the cooking.

    Why are people complaining about milk in the soup? So many soups have milk in them: any cream soups, potato soup, New England clam chowder. People need to get out more.

    Good soup recipe, would never put dairy in it. If anything, almond milk. Don’t like to drink milk because it kills baby calves.
    Volume towards the end was very low.

    Hi guys the milk is for protein as the cabbage itself is mostly water.  You will need the milk so you won’t get hungry as it will make you feel full for longer because of the protein.
